I wish i could actually watch this year's UK Project Catwalk.. but unfortunately flat share and can't get the tv.. Some videos of the catwalks I've found on Youtube, they take a long time to load for me though. :/
Project: The next hot fashion trend The next Ross's dress was the first on the catwalk and although i like the shape because it was really flattering, i didn't think a lot about the rest of the dress, it doesnt appear to look really fashionable and I couldn't imagine it being desirable to people who love and follow trends. Therefore not the next hot fashion trend..
Chelsey's dress was second, tonnes more creative than Ross's but i dont think it worked that well with the pink bust. I really like the jacket and the dress was okay, but the bust and the skirt i dont think was working together.
Jasper's was interesting as usual and all the little details were beautiful, it was a very nice classic style but again i dont think could possibly be the next hot fashion trend.
I like Katy's in that it was cute and flirty, but it really didnt look well executed, the colours were nice together and i could see a lot of trend - followers to like something like this especially because of its wearability.
I loved Tom's!! Those leggings were gorgeous, and the top construction was interesting and worked nicely with the leggings as it was plain, but the top looked too stiff and might have been nicer in something softer. I think could easily be a next hot fashion trend.
Fionnuala's dress was GORGEOUSSS, the shape was flattering, and it was... just great ok :D. I reeeally liked the colour, i havent seen many dresses in this colour for this style, normally see lots of reds, black..
Viv's dress was SAFE. We've seen it before, it was pretty and lots of women would love it, but really it's been done, i dont think she thought about the project enough. Not experimental enough, not fresh or new.
Clinton's was not good. The colours weren't working, it was really shit taste. It looked really cheap, i dont think this would catch on.
I really love Bora Aksu's fashion O_o. I love it because it's wearable but still unusual and not something you see ALL the time. He has to be one of my favourite designers, he's really innovative. His clothes are new and exciting. I feel he really expresses himself through his clothes. I find his S/S 08 collection to be very urban style. Some of my favourites are;
Had a look at Javovich's S/S 08 collection today. Loved some and hated some. I think this blue dress is adorable. I love the colours and the simplicity to it.
Others i liked were down to the construction and little details that made it interesting. I really loved the colour palette .
I really didnt like these ones, i thought they just looked.. horrid. I think the fabric on the first one doesnt do the dress any favours, but the style just looks unflattering. The second one doesnt look well executed.. just no to these.
Finally set up my blog.. will be blogging about fashion & fashion related things, interiors, designers, illustrators/art and other general things :). Have had blogs before but nothing serious.. until now :)
